Kevin Graves
Kevin Graves is the Junior Bible Quiz (JBQ) Coordinator for the Children’s Ministries Agency of the General Council of the Assemblies of God. Kevin has a passion for discipleship and views JBQ as a viable tool to helping disciple children of all ages. He assists the CMA in providing direction and leadership both in JBQ and discipleship. He is also available to answer questions, coach children's pastors and senior pastors, brainstorm and develop ideas, conduct training seminars or speak at conferences and children pastor's retreats.
Kevin is the Minnesota Christian Education/Children’s Ministries Director, where he has served since 1999. In this position he gives oversight and support to Sunday School, Children’s Ministries, Discipleship, Leadership Training and more. Over the last several years they have begun doing children’s ministry training missions trips that have taken him to South Africa, Ukraine, Moldova, Armenia, Mexico, the Philippines and most recently Central Eurasia. He loves children and enjoys running the district Kid’s Camps each June. He was a Children’s/CE Pastor for 11 years prior to serving in the district office.
Kevin has a passion for seeing people not only come to Jesus but also to grow, develop and lead others to Christ as well. He loves humor and always includes a laugh or two in every setting possible. He has served on the national Commission on Discipleship which helps guide our movement in our desire to make disciples of all people. He also serves on the Children’s Ministry Agency Task Force and has spoken at district and national conferences.
Kevin is also available to teach or develop workshops that meet the specific needs of churches or other groups. He will consult with the children’s pastor or district director and work to customize a workshop or event that addresses the concerns of those attending. With over 20 years of experience in children's ministry and three in childcare he has seen or cleaned up just about everything you can imagine and would love to share that experience with you.
Kevin and his wife Valerie have two wonderful kids, Molly 19 and Andrew 14, who keep them busy and bring joy to their lives.
