Since the National Children’s Ministries Agency launched KidsQuest USA about three years ago, the agency has experienced some amazing results. Currently, more than 500 events have been conducted in the United States and more than 19,000 decisions for Christ have been recorded.
“Because of the success of KidsQuest USA and the response of the field, we are launching a follow-up program called KidsMax Live,” says Jason Noble, national KidsQuest USA coordinator. “Our goal is still to equip and assist the local church and districts in reaching kids in their communities. Our overall vision is to see 2 million children reached with KidsQuest USA and KidsMax Live!”
According to Noble, KidsMax Live will be a three-day kids' event that churches can do on a local level. It will have all-new services with new props, dramas and stories. It will also feature Max as the main character. Max is a full-body, larger-than-life Puppettume that is fully remote controlled.
KidsMax live will also utilize video-driven backgrounds with new music to enhance the overall presentation. All the promotional items that a church will need to promote the event in their communities will also be available. KidsMax Live includes an easy follow-up plan to enable churches to continuing reaching the families and children who have attended their KidsMax Live event.
"The program has been designed for maximum flexibility," Noble says.
"It can be done as a one-day event or a three-day event. The program also includes all of the material for a large, one-day event called Nitro. Each service is designed as a stand-alone service."
Any team that has been trained for KidsQuest USA will not have to go through retraining, Noble adds. KidsMax Live has been simplified so small teams can present the program. Training DVDs along with a training manual will contain all of the material for children¹s leaders to train their team on a local level.
"KidsMax Live is a great alternative to VBS, a great tool for children’s leaders to use for stateside missions trips with fifth and sixth graders in conjunction with Project Go, and a great outreach to do during the school year," Noble says. "We especially encourage churches to use this tool for their Halloween outreaches."
The KidsMax Live program will be launched Wednesday, May 15, at The Power of 10: Children’s Ministry Summit in Las Vegas, Nevada. Teams interested in being a part of the launch are encouraged to call the KidsMax Live office at 1-417-862-2781 x4089, or go online to http://www.cmasummits.org and register for the pre-conference session and the conference.
“We are very excited about the launch of this program,” says Noble.
“Bottom line: if you are looking to make a huge impact in your community, I would highly recommend using KidsMax Live to reach families and to grow your children¹s ministries.”
The targeted date to have the new KidsMax Live Web site up and to start shipping kits is June 1, 2007. The kit will go on sale May 16, 2007. For more information about KidsQuest USA or KidsMax Live, go to http://www.kidsquestusa.org.
